How do I become a member?
A
You can become a member if you are in our field of membership. You will need to complete an account card and make a $25.00 deposit to open a savings account. Your $25.00 deposit is your membership share in the credit union. It makes you a member/owner of the credit union and allows you to use the services of the credit union. In the future if you decide to close your account, the $25.00 is returned to you as long as you have no outstanding account balances or fees due to the credit union.

How many locations do you have?

We have 8 office locations. Our main office is located in Fort Dodge. Our branch offices are located in Algona, Belmond, Estherville, Lake Mills, Spirit Lake, Storm Lake, and at the Hy-Vee store in Fort Dodge.

Is my savings at the credit union insured?

Your savings is federally insured to at least $250,000 and backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.

How often do your rates change?

We regularly review both savings and loan rates. They are changed periodically as necessary.

How do I apply for a loan?
A
You may apply for a loan in person or by telephone at any of our office locations. In addition, you may apply online either on our website or through online banking.

What do I do if I lose my checkbook?
A
Please contact any of our office locations as soon as possible. You will need a list of the number of checks left in the book so a "Stop Payment" can be placed. There is a fee for this service.

How do I get a copy of one of my checks?
A
Copies of checks are available on our Online Banking site at no charge. You may also contact any of our office locations. You will need to know the check number, the amount of the check, and when it cleared your account. There is a fee for this service.

How do I put a stop payment on one of my checks?
A
Please contact any of our office locations. You will need to know the check number, the amount of the check, and the name of the payee on the check. There is a fee for this service.

How do I know how much I can spend with my Citizens VISA Check Card?
A
The amount you can spend is the balance of your checking account less any outstanding transactions.

What do I do if I lose my Citizens' VISA or MasterCard credit card or my Citizens VISA Check Card?
A

If your Citizens' Atira MasterCard credit card is lost or stolen, please call Card Services at 888-428-4721 to report your card lost or stolen.

If your Citizens' VISA Debit Card is lost or stolen, you will need to make 2 telephone calls. First, please call Card Services 800-234-5354 to report your card lost or stolen. Card Services is available 24/7 to help you.

Second, you will also need to call our New Accounts Department (515-955-5524) to let them know that you reported your card lost or stolen to Card Services. Our New Accounts Department is available Monday - Friday; 9 AM to 5 PM.

What do I do if I forget my PIN#?
