Outgoing Wire Instructions:
The instructions you need to give Citizens to send a wire for you to another financial institution are:
- Name of Bank
- City and State
- Bank ABA# (American Banking Association) also referred to as routing and transit #
- Name of Account at Bank
- Account # at Bank
- Amount to wire out
- Citizens Account# to charge for wire and fee
- Deadline to wire is 1:30 PM. The fee for a domestic wire is $15.00.
International Outgoing Wire Instructions:
- Name of Bank
- City, State/Region, Country
- BIC (Bank Identifier Code)
- IBAN (International Bank Account Number)
- Name and address of account at bank
- Account# at bank
- Amount to wire out
- Name and address of member sending wire
- Citizens Account# to charge for wire and fee
- All international outgoing wires are routed through Wells Fargo
routing# 121000248 - Deadline for international wires is 1:30 PM. The fee for an international wire is $30.00. Wires going to China must include the purpose of the wire.
- On any outgoing wire, both the address of sending and receiving parties and the financial institutions is required.
- The money that is going to be used for the wire transfer must be guaranteed funds - meaning funds that have been in an account and are already collected, or funds are from cash, cashiers check, money order or other similar negotiable item.
- Prior to sending the wire, federal regulations require that we run the sender, receiver, and banks thru the OFAC search.
